Here are some fun memories from the CD release concert at One Longfellow Square for the Mutineers' new album "Coal Creek," featuring traditional and original folk, blues and old-time country songs. I improvised fiddle parts for the tunes "Little Maggie" and "Love Divine;" both these tracks are reviewed [linked here] by the Maine Switch in Portland. The way the fiddle was recorded makes it sound like a harmonica, which I think is wonderful. Band leader Stuart MacDonald's harmonica on the recording is really lovely, and was extra hot at the concert that night.
Chatting up the audience -- and each other ...
and tuning.
