Classical violin lessons with Lorel Nazzaro

at Free Grange Music Studio in Bowdoinham, Maine

Lorel Nazzaro, a co-founder of the Midcoast Symphony and a member of The Northern Lights String Quartet, has been teaching violin for 15 years. Lorel established the Strings Program at North Yarmouth Academy where she taught for 4 years. She has also taught at The Cricket Hunt School in Freeport and the Dunmore School on Harbour Island, Bahamas.

She draws upon Suzuki materials and methods and, although not a certified Suzuki teacher, has attended the New England Institute for teacher enrichment.

She tailors her teaching to each individual's personal learning style, and works with ages 7 and up, including adults. Lessons include notation, enabling students to play in an orchestra or read a piece of music by sight.

Sharing their music with the community at local gatherings is one of her goals for students.

Lesson fees at Free Grange Music Studio:

$30 per half-hour for private lessons

$15 per student to share a half-hour lesson with one other student

Private/semi-private lessons can be half-hour, 45 minutes, or one hour

Group lesson (50 minutes)
$15 per student

Trio Discount:

If three friends would like to combine group and private lessons, a discounted rate is available with advance reservation for an hour and a half block of lesson time, which the trio can divide among themselves in a way that best fits their schedules.
